Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad received here today Minister of Foreign Trade Sheikha Lubna Bint Khalid Al Qasimi of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), who is currently visiting Damascus. During the meeting, President Al-Assad affirmed the importance of investing the economic cooperation between Arab countries to establish economic partnerships and strategic investment projects on an Arab and regional dimension, pointing out that these partnerships and projects will participate in achieving sustainable development that serves the interest of the Arab people, and in turn form the basis for establishing stability in the region. For her part, Minister Al Qasimi affirmed her country's commitment to improving economic relations with Syria and establishing economic partnership in various fields based on achieving mutual interests.
