Hadramout Governor Salem al-Khanbashi met on Monday with Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO)'s delegation, led by the organization's representative in Yemen Fuad al-Domy. Al-Khanbashi briefed the FAO's delegation on the economic activity in the province and the on-going efforts in the agricultural development and the improvement of agricultural and fish production. He highlighted prospects of numerous economic activities in Hadramout, which need to be invested and developed so as to improve the standard of living of farmers and fishermen. For his part, the FAO's official said that the delegation's visit to Hadramout aimed to see the conditions of the agricultural and fish areas and provide advice on improving the production and development in general in these two major sectors. The FAO's delegation would pay visits to a number of districts to get familiarization with the agricultural and fish projects and various activities in these areas, according to a report of Yemen's news agency "SANA".
