Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmet Davutoglu affirmed that Syrian-Turkish relations have become a practical and successful example of international relations. In an interview with Syrian news agency "SANA" on Monday, Davutoglu pointed out to the agreement in viewpoints between the two countries regarding all issues related to bilateral relations and the region. He affirmed that Syria is Turkey's portal to the Middle East and the Arab world, adding that Syria is one of the most important countries in the region. Davutoglu also affirmed that his country supports Syria and will continue to cooperate with it. "No-one can ignore what is happening to the Palestinian people in general and in Gaza in particular," Davutoglu said, stressing that Gaza isn't merely a Palestinian, Arab or Muslim issue, but is the responsibility of the international community which failed to shoulder its responsibilities and promises in this regard.
