Guinea's President Alpha Conde has named the country's prime minister. Mohamed Said Fofana, a former director of economic research, was appointed the West African nation's new prime minister late Friday. Conde, a 72-year-old Sorbonne university professor who has spent most of his adult life in France, was inaugurated as president Tuesday. Conde has also named Francois Louceny as minister of the state and secretary-general of the presidency, the Associated Press reported.
