Agriculture Minister Fahd Balghunym disclosed on Saturday his ministry's plan to build two parks in Raghdan and Shakran in the southwestern province of Baha. Speaking to reporters after a meeting with Governor of Baha Province Prince Meshari bin Saud, he said the project would be awarded to potential contractors shortly. “We also intend to establish a national park in Baha with the support of the private sector,” he added. He also emphasized the importance of establishing cooperative societies for farmers and livestock owners. “These societies can ensure supply of fodders at reasonable prices,” he said in a press statement published today. Earlier, Prince Meshari said he had discussed with the minister a number of projects related to agriculture and forests. “Our talks were fruitful. The minister has pledged his full support to boost agriculture in Baha.”
