Malaysia's Minister of International Trade and Industry Dato' Sri Mustapha bin Mohamed, currently on an official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, disclosed during a meeting with the Islamic Development Bank Group presidency, his country's plan to convoke a day for the IDB in Kuala lumpur in which the member countries in south east Asia as well as investors from other member states could probe the trade exchanges and investment opportunities in each other. For his part, Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Ali, President of IDB, welcomed the proposal, noting that IDB has so far granted Malaysia more than $1 billion worth of soft loans covering the finance of 30 projects covering education, health, agriculture, water supplies, roads, and food industries fields.
