Gen. David H. Petraeus, Commander of the NATO International Security Assistance Force (ISAF), visited Pakistan on Monday to meet with Chief of Army Staff Gen. Ashfaq Parvez Kayani. They discussed various topics of mutual interest and ways to improve regional security, said a statement issued by American embassy quoted by The Associated Press of Pakistan. This was Gen. Petraeus' fourth visit to Pakistan as the NATO ISAF Commander, although he has long-established relationships with General Kayani and the Pakistani military from his time as the U.S. Central Command commander, said the statement. His last visit to Pakistan was on November second.
