Director General of the World Trade Organization (WTO) Pascal Lamy highly appreciated the leading role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the organization since its accession in 2005, and its efforts to support the developing countries through the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD), which enabled these countries to develop their countries, promote its economy and develop their resources. This came during a meeting at WTO headquarters in Geneva in which Lamy received the members of the Saudi Shoura Council who are members of the Saudi-Swiss Parliamentary Friendship Committee currently visiting the Republic of Switzerland, headed by Dr. Rashid bin Hamad Al-Kathiri.
