Saudi Sudanese joint commission concluded its third round here today which lasted for two days. Dr. Fahd Balghunaim, Minister of Agriculture of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, led his county's side while his Sudanese counterpart Dr. Abdulhaleem Al-Muta'afi led his country's side. Following the meeting, Balghunaim expressed pleasure of the outcome of the meeting, noting a steady progress in the rhythm of investment and trade between the two countries. He also noted an increasing interest of the Saudi private sector to invest in agriculture in Sudan, disclosing that the government has established a new company to work in the field of external agricultural investment at a capital of $800 million as an incentive for the private sector to enter this field. The meeting also discussed mutual interests between the two countries in the trade, industrial, security, judicial and customs fields.
