Hijjah 29, 1431 / Dec. 05, 2010, SPA -- The Dominican Republic reported a new cholera case on Saturday, raising the number of the country's cases to 16. The new patient, a 39-year-old man from south of the country, has been hospitalized and is in good condition, Xinhua quoted Public Health Minister Bautista Rojas as saying. "This patient is being monitored by the Public Health Ministry. We have a monitoring system at national level and everything goes fine," he said. The epidemic is under strict control of authorities, which have carried out preventive measure nationwide, he added.
