Sports leaders in Saudi Arabia congratulate Qatar on FIFA decision choosing the Arab country to host the world 2022 soccer finals. In cables to Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Heir Apparent of Qatar, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Thani, in charge of Qatar's bidding Committee, Prince Sultan bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, General President of Youth Welfare and his deputy Prince Nawaf bin Faisal bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz congratulated Qatar on hosting the world soccer finals in 2022. They attributed the decision to Qatar's care of sports, its advanced infrastructure and logistic services as well as the high profile of sports in the Middle East and Arab world. They reassured Qatar of the continuing support of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including putting its vast capabilities at the disposal of Qatar to make this event a success.
