An Afghan border policeman killed six foreign soldiers Monday during a training exercise in eastern Afghanistan, a provincial official said. The officer opened fire on foreign troops training the policemen in the Pachi Ragam district of Nangarhar province, dpa cited Ahmad Zia Abdul Zai, the provincial governor's spokesman as adding. The perpetrator who fired on the troops belonging to the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) was also killed in the incident, the spokesman said, adding that a joint Afghan-ISAF investigation into the incident was taking place. The ISAF said in a statement that an "individual in an Afghan Border Police uniform" turned his weapon on ISAF soldiers during a training mission.
