Hijjah 22, 1431 / Nov. 28, 2010, SPA -- Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja opened today evening the third edition of "Children's Day" Festival at King Fahd Cultural Center in Riyadh. After cutting the ribbon to open the five-day festival, Dr. Khoja toured the exhibition held on the sidelines of the festival and watched a variety of theatrical shows. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Dr. Khoja expressed delight over the opening of the Festival which coincides with the Children's Day, reiterating that organizing such festivals in addition to taking care of children do emanate from the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and his deputy. Dr. Khoja stressed the importance of raising children on Islamic values and Arab culture, pointing out that the Ministry of Culture and Information has contributed directly in this field by launching Ajyal TV Channel for children. The opening ceremony was attended by a number of officials.
