Minister of Culture and Information Hands-over Ministry's Cup to Winners of Horse Racing

Hijjah 21, 1431, November 26, 2010, SPA -- The Minister of Culture and Information, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Muhaydin Khoja handed over the Ministry's Cup and cash prizes ranging from SR 10,000 to SR 35,000 to the five winners of the horse racing at King Abdulaziz Equestrian Field in Janadriyah here on Friday.
In a press statement, Dr Khoja pointed out that there have been directives from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Ibn Abdulaziz Al Saud for the development of the television broadcast of equestrian events.
"We feel pride in equestrianism which is an Arab original sport linked to our heritage and history," he added.
He said, "We adore the King's keenness on promoting equestrianism as he is a Knight and we are proud of him. We pray to Allah Almighty that the King will return home safe as soon as possible."
