Hijjah 02, 1431, Nov 08, 2010, SPA -- Qatari Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage Dr Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al Kuwari, who is also chairman of the higher Committee for the festivities of Doha - the capital of Arab Culture 2010 met Sunday with the visiting Governor of the Iraqi city of Najaf, Sheikh Fayed Kazem Al Shammari and his accompanying delegation. During the meeting, the discussions dealt with ways to strengthen cultural cooperation between the two countries. The Minister stressed that all the committees of the Doha Capital of Arab Culture 2010 will extend their experiences to the cultural authorities in Iraq after the selection of the Iraqi city of Najaf as capital of Islamic culture 2012. The meeting was attended by Iraqi Ambassador to Qatar Dr. Jawad Al-Hindawi, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported.
