Qa'dah 29, 1431, SPA -- The Saudi Project for the Utilization of Hajj Meat, managed by the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), has launched an online payment service to make the purchasing of "Adahi" Hajj Sacrificial Meat Coupons more convenient during the pilgrimage season. The Coupons are being sold for SR410 and can be purchased through the online Sadad payment system, telephone banking or at an ATM. The main objectives of the project, currently in its 26th year, include the distribution of the Hajj Sacrificial meat for the needy in Makkah and around the world. The offal is sold as a means of bringing in revenue that is also distributed amongst the needy in Makkah. As part of efforts to maximize the value of each sacrificial sheep, the project has recently financed its first factory for gelatin, obtained from the skin and bones of animals. The factory is under the management of a Chinese company and located in the Moassim Mina area, according to a report published today by Arab News. --MORE
