Qa'dah 27, 1431 H/ Nov. 04, 2010, SPA -- Ministers of Information of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) concluded here today their 18th meeting under the chairmanship of Sheikh Ahmed Al-Abdullah Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah, Kuwaiti Minister of Oil and Information and the participation of all delegations of the GCC Member States, in addition to Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Attiyah, GCC Secretary General. The delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the meeting was headed by Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja, Minister of Culture and Information. During the meeting, the GCC Ministers of Information praised the invitation of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for the Iraqi people and all political actors in Iraq, to meet in Riyadh under the umbrella of the Arab League after the "Hajj" season to discuss the formation of an Iraqi government. The GCC Ministers also expressed their appreciation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques on his leading role to ensure the stability, unity and security of Iraq. Concluding the meeting, the Ministers agreed on the joint information strategy (2010-2020) and expressed their deep thanks and appreciation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia represented by the Ministry of Culture and Information on its outstanding efforts made in preparing the draft media strategy.
