Qa'dah 21, 1431 H/Oct 29, 2010, SPA -- Malaysia has confirmed its readiness to cooperate with agricultural institutions of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC)'s Member States in the context of promoting food production and raising the income of peasants and farmers. Malaysian agriculture minister Noah Umar said that the Islamic countries will benefit from this initiative as long as each of them decides to exchange experience and good practices, adding that the Malaysian initiative includes food supplies, data and technical expertise, and preparations for anti-disasters and climate change and the use of technologies to limit the spread of diseases.
