ASBU Opens Seminar on Audiovisual Archive in Tunisia

Qa'dah 21, 1431 H/Oct 29, 2010, SPA -- The Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU) opened at its headquarters here today a seminar on audiovisual archives in the presence of an elite of international experts and officials from departments of engineering, programs and archives at radio and television bodies which are members of ASBU, including the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Opened by Dr. Riadh Kamal Nigm, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture and Information for Engineering Affairs and President of ASBU, the seminar discusses the needs of ASBU's member bodies which have treasures of audio-visual archives of millions of hours of social and cultural heritage.
The seminar is also due to tackle the challenges faced by the Audiovisual Archive.
