Qaeda 1431 H. / 28 October 2010, SPA -- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was awarded the Media Communications prize offered by the Media Tenor International during a special ceremony held in the Swiss city of Rapersveld. Saudi Ambassador to the Swiss Federation Hazem bin Mohammed Karkutli received the prize from the foundation's President Roland Shats at the reception which was attended by a number of media representatives, university professors and intellectuals. Karkutli expressed thanks to the media leading corporation, explaining that this comes in recognition of the role of the Kingdom and the efforts exerted by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, his Crown Prince and the Second Deputy Premier in the field of communications with the world countries in the field of media. For his part, the leader of the foundation said the Kingdom was chosen for this prize according to many standards, most important of which are its role in the fields related to the world leadership, support for investment foundations and projects which positively affected the portrait of the country, the size of economy, rates of economic indexes, reduction of crime and corruption rates, cultural and social awareness and the high level political stability the Kingdom is enjoying. He said a number of countries in the world met these standards but Saudi Arabia got high marks and the first place.
