Qa'dah 15, 1431 H/Oct 23, 2010, SPA -- At least six people were killed and 10 others injured in new violence in the Caucusus region on Saturday, including a suicide car bomb attack, reports in Moscow said. The Dagestan Interior Ministry said a suicide attacker in the city of Khassavyurt blew himself up in his car at the entrance to a police station, killing at least one officer and wounding 10 others, dpa cited Interfax as reporting. Beforehand, security forces carrying out anti-terrorism operations in Dagestan and Ingushetia each killed two suspected Islamic militants. The latest violence underscores the increasing security instability in the North Caucasus region, analysts said, amid a sharp rise in new terror attacks.
