Qa'dah 15, 1431, Oct 23, 2010 SPA -- Prince Abdulaziz Ibn Talal Ibn Abdulaziz, has emphasized the importance of the annual conference of the National Council on Arab-US-Relations and its role in promoting understanding and exchange of views on common concerns between the United States and the Arab world. In a speech on behalf of Prince Talal Ibn Abdulaziz, President of the Arab Gulf Program for United Nations Development in Washington on Friday, he said that the Conference marks this year the passage of 65 years of close relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States since the historic meeting between late King Abdulaziz Ibn Abdulrahman Al Saud, and President Roosevelt in 1945. The Prince noted that the Conference is being held at a time when the Middle East is passing through challenges and opportunities for enhancement of security, stability and prosperity for their peoples.
