Qa'da 11,1431H, Oct 19, 2010, SPA -- An OIC official reiterated Tuesday, enduring support and commitment of the Organization of Islamic Conference to Afghanistan. Referring to the resolutions on Afghanistan adopted at the 37th Meeting of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers held in Dushanbe in May 2010, Ambassador A.H.M. Moniruzzaman, an interim Special Representative of the OIC Secretary General for Afghanistan, highlighted the full support of the OIC Member States for Afghanistan in its efforts to bring peace, security, stability and economic progress to the country. Upon invitation by the Chairman of the International Contact Group (ICG) and Government of Italy, Ambassador Moniruzzaman, headed a delegation of the OIC at the ICG meeting that concluded in Rome yesterday, according to a latest press release issued by the OIC in Jeddah.
