Qaeda 1431 H. / 14 October 2010, SPA -- Somali President Sheikh Sharif Ahmed on Thursday named a U.S.-educated former diplomat as prime minister, according to Reuters. Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed, 49, will replace Omar Abdirashid Sharmake who quit last month. "My first priority is security, and performing my duties for the Somali people," Abdullahi told Reuters. The Somali presidency said in a statement that Abdullahi was an educator who specialised in leadership, project management and conflict resolution and that he would form a new cabinet within a month.
