Qaeda 1431 H. / 13 October 2010, SPA -- The first forum on the unified GCC building code, organized by the GCC Standards Commission in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment of Qatar, concluded here today. The two-day conference, which attracted a number of experts and specialists in the fields of engineering, building and construction, recommended that the Saudi building code be considered the basic code as it was the most comprehensive and completed of its counterparts. Qatar bade to host the headquarters of the unified GCC building code.
