Qa'dah 03, Oct 11, SPA -- Thirty-seven people, most of them women, were killed when a boat capsized in the Ganges river in the eastern Indian state of Bihar, police said Monday. The boat carrying over 50 people capsized late Sunday in Bihar's Buxar district, about 125 kilometres east of state capital Patna. "We have recovered 37 bodies so far, 26 of them are women," district superintendent of police Upendra Kumar Sinha was quoted as saying by the German Press Agency "DPA." Sinha said a search was still on. "At least 15 were rescued and several others swam to safety. The death toll is unlikely to rise further," Sinha said.
