Nadwah and Al-Bilad newspapers said that the Arab summit that will be held later today in the Libyan city of Sirte will face pressing issues and challenges including the necessity for supporting the Palestinian position, which rejects resumption of direct negotiations until termination of the Jewish settlements by Israel. The papers pointed out that the Arab side should present its full support for Palestinians and President Mahmoud Abbas who is participating later today in the Arab summit for a complete freeze of Israeli settlement activities and for an Arab plan to move with the international parties to go to the United Nations Organization for shouldering its responsibilities in establishing a just and comprehensive peace in the Middle East.
