The Int'l Forum for Broadcasting and TV Training continued its deliberations in Damascus today by holding a round table and discussion, chaired by the Undersecretary of the Saudi Ministry of Culture and Information for Engineering Affairs Dr. Riyadh Kamal Najm, who is also the current President of the Arab Broadcasting Union. The discussion, in which a number of Arab and foreign experts took part, focused on the importance of starting with the requirements and projected goals as well as the potentials available for implementing an Arab strategy for training through providing the necessary technological means and human resources. Participants stressed that continuous evaluation of the experiment is needed. They spoke about spreading the culture of broadcasting and TV training and search for the mechanisms and concepts of Arab and international training and cooperation in this field in addition to casting light on the legislations, infrastructure and human resources as well as the role of the Arab Center for Training within the Arab broadcasting and TV training system.
