The oil price of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) dipped by 0.93 dollars at mid-week, the Vienna-based cartel said Thursday, according to dpa. OPEC's basket price settled lower at 74.41 dollars per barrel (159 litres) on Wednesday, the same day that the latest US government oil report showed rising stocks of crude oil and products. The group's 12 members currently supply more than a third of the world's oil.
