Two assassination attempts on policemen were taken in Dagestan last night, the republic's Interior Ministry said on Wednesday. "An identified criminal opened a fire at a traffic inspector in Kaspiysk, the latter was wounded and hospitalized," Itar-Tass quoted the source as saying. In a separate incident, an explosive went off on a roadside in Kizilyurt, when a car with two policemen inside passed by. Fortunately, nobody was injured. The investigation is underway. Police are combing the area to find the criminals.
