The Syrian Ministry of Education and UNESCO Office in Beirut have jointly organized the Regional Arab Conference on Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE), which began today its deliberations in the Syrian capital. As many as 150 delegates are attending the conference that aims at highlighting the importance of devising specific educational policies and protecting early childhood in the Arab region, Kuwait's News Agency "KUNA" reported. The conference focuses on topics related to international directives and how to set up national strategies in the field of education and early childhood care as well as integrating early childhood in education. The conference is attended by senior representatives from the Ministries of Education, Social Affairs and Health, in addition to representatives of civil society associations, specialists from Arab and international universities, cooperation agencies, and UN organizations.
