Prime Minister Hashim Thaci of Kosovo and Serbian President Boris Tadic are to meet with European Union officials next week to discuss the possibility of talks between Pristina and Belgrade, media reports said Sunday according to dpa. Thaci and Tadic would travel separately to New York for the meeting with EU foreign policy chief Cathrine Ashton, according to the reports. The EU hopes the talks would start before October 26 and the EU foreign minister's meeting on Serbia.
