Late King Abdulaziz regained Riyadh on Shawwal 5, 1319 H. corresponding to 19021 which marked the first bloc of the foundation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, while the roots of this foundation dated back to 274 years when Imam Mohammed Ibn Saud and Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulwahab "May Allah bless their souls" held their historic meeting in 1157H/ 1744 A.D. The first Saudi State was founded on the basis of commitment to the principles of the Islamic religion and then came the second Saudi state, which pursued on the same bases and principles. In its report on King Abdulaziz and his companions who accompanied him from Kuwait to Riyadh, King Abdulaziz Foundation for Archives and Research said that King Abdulaziz in 1319 led members of his family and his men from Kuwait to the outskirts of Al-Ahsa, then he went to Riyadh accompanied by 60 companions. --More
