Authorities say injuries have been reported in an explosion at a southwest Tennessee plant that makes flares for the military. Cris Hill, a dispatcher at the Hardeman County sheriff's office, says an unknown number of people were hurt in the explosion Tuesday at the Kilgore Flares Co. plant in Toone, according to AP. Hill says medical helicopters are on the ground to airlift the injured. The cause of the explosion is not known. An operator who answered the phone at the plant's facility about 75 miles (120 kilometers) northeast of Memphis said the company couldn't release any information.
