Afghan and coalition forces killed five insurgents in Nangarhar province overnight, including a Taliban operational commander, NATO's International Security Assistance Force said Sunday. Intelligence reports indicate the commander, Qari Wali, was planning to conduct rocket attacks against area voting centers during elections next week, the force was quoted as saying by CNN. Afghan and NATO troops found him in a compound in the village of Kambu, they said in a statement.
