Prime Minister of Pakistan Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani has expressed thanks to and appreciation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for the continued support provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan and its people affected by the floods. This came when Gilani received today the Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Abdulaziz bin Ibrahim Al-Ghadeer Multan city, Punjab province , who repeatedly visits the flood-affected areas to overseen the distribution of the Saudi aid. During the meeting, the Pakistani premier hailed the Kingdom's permanent support of Pakistan in its most difficult circumstances throughout its history, especially during the devastating earthquake that hit the country in October 2005 and, currently, when it experiences one of the worst natural disaster. Gilani also stressed that the Kingdom responded first before all countries in providing aid since the beginning of the disaster by commencing airlift humanitarian relief ordered by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for delivering emergency aid, dispatching rescue teams and establish field hospitals to provide urgent medical services to those affected. He also cited the launch of the national-wide Saudi fund-raising campaign to assist and support the Pakistani people affected by floods, confirming that it reflects the care and attention accorded by the Saudi Monarch and the Saudi people in support of Pakistan and its affected people. The visits of the ambassador Al-Ghadeer to the affected areas and the victims in difficult remote areas indicates that Saudi Arabia supports Pakistan in its crisis and stands with Pakistan side by side, he added.
