SABIC Signs Agreement With German Company

Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) has recently signed an agreement with German company "Lurgi GmbH" for granting the company technical and engineering licenses for the production of oil chemicals at Saudi Kayan Petrochemical Company Complex (Saudi-Kayan), an affiliate of SABIC, currently under construction in Jubail Industrial City, scheduled for commencing production next year.
SABIC's Executive Vice President of Technology and Innovation Dr. Abdulrahman Bin Saleh Al-Obaid said that the operation of the new production line will start by 2013 , using a technique of renewable feedstock based on raw materials produced from renewable natural oils such as palm and coconut oils.
