The Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority ( SAGIA) and National Geographic are launching a landmark initiative, which promises to formulate green models and strategies for the 2011 Global Competitiveness Forum (GCF) , an annual meeting of top business leaders, international political leaders, NGO's, selected intellectuals and active media members. This partnership includes developing a custom magazine and an interactive web portal, where world leaders and heads of Global Fortune 500 companies can discuss environmental issues and sustainable competitiveness. Commenting on this partnership, Amr Al-Dabbagh, the Governor of SAGIA stated: "Partnership between GCF and National Geographic speaks volumes about SAGIA's commitment to shedding light on Green Growth initiatives in both regional and global arenas." He added "Savvy business leaders are realizing that investing in Green Tech is not an overhead Corporate Social Responsibility; rather, a 'Green to Gold' economic opportunity". "The new GCF initiative intends to chart innovative Green Growth strategies across the many pillars of Competitiveness." said Dr Khaled Al-Bulaihed, project's Executive Director, in a latest statement carried by SAGIA's Web-Site.
