Slovenian prosecutors charged former prime minister Janez Jansa for bribery in connection with the biggest defence deal ever signed by Slovenia, dpa quoted local media as reporting Friday. Jansa allegedly received bribes while negotiating a deal worth 278 million euros (353 million dollars) with the Finnish company Patria in 2006 to buy 135 armored vehicles. He was charged on August 6 before regional court in Ljubljana for "giving or receiving bribery or promises of bribery," Mladina weekly reported. Jansa dismissed such allegations.
