Prince Turki ibn Nasser ibn Abdul-Aziz, the President of general presidency for meteorology and environment, chaired here last night the third meeting for the environment council. Speaking on the occasion, Prince Turki expressed optimism about the national comprehensive strategy for environment and said that the concerned officials at the general presidency for meteorology and environment are preparing a draft for the national strategy for environment awareness. Prince Turki said the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has always being a pioneer in the field of environment work. Meanwhile, secretary general of the environment council Salih al-Shihri said the participants of the meeting had reviewed a number of developments pertaining to the environment at the local and regional domains.
