The two Jordanian peacekeepers, who were abducted a few days ago by an armed militant group in Darfur in Sudan, were safely freed, Minister Of State For Media Affairs and Communications Ali Al Ayed announced Tuesday, Petra reported Al Ayed told Petra that First lieutenants Nabil Kilani and Ahmad Qaisi were now with the Jordan peacekeeping mission in Darfur and they were now in good conditions. In a related development, King Abdullah II of Jordan on Tuesday ordered the airlift of the two officers who were freed earlier today after they had been abducted for several days in Darfur in Sudan by an armed militant group. The two officers had been kidnapped by an armed militant group Saturday while they were heading to an assembly point in Sudan's Darfur region.
