The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired the Cabinet's session held at Al-Salam palace in Jeddah on Monday evening. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency following the meeting, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja, Minister of Culture and Information, highly valued the royal order issued by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to the Kingdom's Grand Mufti recently, confining Fatwa to members of the Senior Ulema Commission and giving the Commission the chance to nominate whoever they see he is eligible to take part in or issue a fatwa. Dr. Khoja also congratulated all Muslims on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, wishing them successful fasting. He confirmed that the popular campaign launched to help the people of Pakistan face the sufferings of floods that hit the country recently, comes within Saudi Arabia's efforts to assist the needy in the aftermath of natural disaster in Pakistan, calling on everybody to donate what he affords in this beloved month. The Council was briefed on the process of the airlift relief from Saudi Arabia to Pakistan. Dr. Khoja conveyed the sorrow and regret of the Council on the sad demise of Dr. Ghazi bin Abdulrahman Al-Qusaibi, Minister of Labor, who passed away Sunday evening.
