The Muslim World League (MWL) has condemned and deplored an announcement of a church in Gainesville, Florida, about its plan to set fire copies of the Holy Quran on September 11, 2010, in addition to its call observing this day as an international day for burning the Holy Quran. The statement issued by the MWL's Secretary general Dr Abdullah Bin Abdul-Mohsin Al-Turki warned against such an announcement and its adverse impact on the human relations as well as co-existence among the nations of the world. Dr Al-Turki described the statements spelled out by the priest of the church, Terry Jones, in which he said 'Islam is from the Satan' as wicked and extremist statements which advocate hatred and antagonism in violation of the teachings of the heavenly religions as well as the international laws adopted by the United Nations. --MORE
