Six Cuban dissidents are set to leave the island's jails in the coming days and will then head to Spain, the Archdiocese of Havana said Friday according to dpa. "This way, there are 26 prisoners who have accepted the proposal to leave prison and go to Spain," Archdiocese spokesman Orlando Marquez said in a statement. Following weeks of negotiations, the Roman Catholic Church and the Cuban government made a deal in early July, for the release of 52 dissidents who remained in prison from a group of 75 who had been jailed in the so-called Black Spring of 2003. Of these, 20 dissidents were already released last month.
