A number of religious organizations today lauded the royal order issued last night by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, confining fatwas on senior recognized Ulema of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and giving chance to would-be Muftis not to hesitate to show their views through the religious institutions of the country. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Secretary General of the Senior Ulema Commission Dr. Fahd bin Saad Al-Majed said the order embodied a royal noble vigilant care for the holy Quran and prophet's sayings and deeds and against tampers and ignorant. He said the order also illustrated the great role of fatwas in Islam. He described the order as a reminder by the leader of the country that our religion has no room for people who seek just show and life designs through direct violations of Sharia. In addition, the order also gave a lesson to citizens and religious students on the culture of difference in Islam. For his part, the General President of the Commission for Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Humain Al-Humain said the royal order coincided with the jubilance of Muslim people towards the advent of the holy fasting month of Ramadan. He said the order comes amid a dire need to keep the approach of the nation intact and its people united. He described the order as apparent and clear-cut as a healing balsam during this month of mercy and good to prevent deviation and confusion. Al-Humain also lauded the contents of the order which he said tackled a number of important aspects of the pillars of the Saudi society. He praised the royal order's affirmation of the status of sacrifice in anticipation of God's reward to the country's prudent leadership and its appreciation of the work done by sincere sacrifice-seekers in the service of their religion and nation.
