The Cabinet approved a memorandum of cooperation between King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Centre of the Gulf and Arabian Peninsula Studies of Kuwait signed in Riyadh on 08/06/2009.
The Cabinet approved that the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs shall be the authority concerned with classifying the engineering consulting companies and offices. The classification process shall be in accordance with a mechanism designed by a committee formed in the Ministry with the participation of representatives from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and the Saudi Council of Engineers. This mechanism is issued by a decision of the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs within a period not exceeding two months from the issuance date of this decision.
