Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior, received at the Ministry of Interior's Jeddah office this evening Sheikh Mohammed bin Fahd Al Abdullah, Chief of the Investigation and Prosecution Commission, and chairmen of its branches in different parts of the Kingdom. At the outset of the meeting, Prince Naif welcomed them and highlighted the great mission of IPC which he also supervises upon directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. Prince Naif said the new system instructing IPC's chief to report to the Minister of Interior corrects the previous bureaucratic procedure. He explained that a police officer no longer controls the authorities of arresting, investigating and prosecuting at one time. The authority of investigation and prosecution now goes to this commission, he added. He conveyed the confidence of the King and his Crown Prince on the leadership of this commission, wishing them every success and urging them of finalizing the interests of people without delay. For his part, the Chief of IPC thanked Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz for offering them this chance to meet with him, confirming that his men would remain on alert and call.
