Britain's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Alistair Pert today described relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom as ideal. In a press conference, the British Minister in charge of Middle East, North Africa and South Asian Affairs at the Foreign Office, explained that the relations between the two countries have strong pillars, pointing out to the convening of the Dialogue Forum between the two countries which is hosted alternately in the two countries. He expected future meetings between British officials with their counterparts in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia later this year. He said the ministerial meeting he chaired in London yesterday tackled coordination between different British ministries to get-acquainted to best ways for upgrading relations between Britain and its partners in the GCC. He confirmed that the British coalition government, led by David Cameron, has aspirations to upgrade the level of relations in the cultural, educational, defense, trade, investments and foreign policy fields.
