Kazakhstan plans to host a summit of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) - the first in 11 years - this autumn, German Chancellor Angela Merkel announced during a visit to the Central Asian country on Sunday. Kazakhstan currently holds the presidency of the OSCE, dpa reported. "The foreign ministers have decided that such a summit should take place," Merkel said during a meeting with Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev in the capital Astana. Merkel, who noted that she always supported the idea, said a date for the summit would be set within the next two weeks.
