Two people were killed in an explosion at a coal mining area in central China's Hunan Province Sunday. Explosives detonated at around 10 a.m. at the ground of a coal pit, known as "Laobanshang Coal Mine", in Lutang Town, Beihu District of Chenzhou City, Xinhua quoted local authorities as saying in a statement. Municipal work safety bureau officials and police were investigating the cause of the explosion.
